The OCC Sailing Association (OCC SA) is a group of sailing enthusiasts who combine their love of sailing with a spirit of volunteerism. Members are instrumental in making the OCC SA a great place to be by volunteering to assist with the Orange Coast College School of Sailing and Seamanship classes, special events and maintenance. In return the OCC SA organize “members only” events such as day sails, educational seminars, and the annual Holiday Boat Parade viewing. The OCC SA was started in 1995 and averages 200 members a year.
All general meetings of the OCCSA are held the last Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the upstairs classroom at the School of Sailing and Seamanship. Come by and see what all the excitement is about.
Joining the OCC SA helps The School and opens more sailing opportunities for you. Stop by or call The School office for more information. A membership fee of $100 ($75 annual renewal) provides association members with these benefi ts:
- 10% off most on-the-water and evening courses
- Rental privileges of Lidos, Shields and Harbor 20s upon completion of written and practical tests
- Placement on the Sailing Center crew list for racing & cruising opportunities
- SCA racing, cruising and social events
