This hands-on class is designed for the sailor who desires to be self-reliant in jury-rigging, utilitarian decorative ropecraft, and the knowledge of a wide variety of knots, bends, whippings, splices, seizings and tackle systems. Students will make a ditty bag, netting, heaving line, sword mat and other practical objects. After taking this course you will never again purchase Velcro sail gaskets, pre-spliced mooring lines or decorative rope placemats made in China.
