Sailing At Marina Park
Since Spring 2021 the OCC School of Sailing & Seamanship has partnered with the City of Newport Beach to provide additional sailing opportunities for the community at the City’s Marina Park location. Sailing Instruction at Marina Park is provided by instructor’s from The OCC School of Sailing and Seamanship using the fleet of boats available at Marina Park Sailing Center including Sabots, 14′ Quest Dinghies along with the Venture and the J/22 Keelboat.
Class schedules are published quarterly in the Newport Navigator and a selection of beginning to advanced dinghy and keelboat classes are available year round for sailors of all ages. Classes for youth sailors are offered through out the year and our summer schedule includes a comprehensive camp program for youth ages 6 to 17.
Registration for sailing classes at Marina Park is done through the OCC School of Sailing & Seamanship registration website, or by calling the School Office at 949-645-9412.

Parking at Marina Park
Parking can be challenging, especially on holidays and during busy summer months, so be sure to give yourself enough time to park and still arrive to class on time.
- Download the ParkMobile app prior to arriving at Marina Park
- Be sure to make an account and add payment method ahead of time
- Upon checking-in for class, students enrolled in a sailing class will receive a parking code for free parking to use with the ParkMobile app
- Sailing students: Please look for the orange cones in the Marina Park parking lot with “Marina Park Sailing & Boating” for parking while sailing.
- Visitors not enrolled in sailing classes can use the pay stations located in the parking lots or pay online using the ParkMobile app. You will need your license plate number to use the pay station and to set-up the app. You may also use cash or a credit card at one of the pay stations located in the parking lot.
