The OCC School of Sailing & Seamanship is now offering a leadership program for teens in our Summer Sailing Camps!  Our Youth Leadership Program (YLP) provides training and experience in teamwork, responsibility, communication and job skills.  YLP prepares students for employment as camp counselors, assistant sailing instructors and leadership roles in a fun and supportive environment on the water. 

We also cover weather and tides, right of way rules, navigation, safety tips and boating laws in the classroom. You decide if you want to take the written exam to get your Small Powerboat Certification.

• Prerequisite:
  • Participants must be 14 years old OR entering the 9th grade, have basic sailing skills and enjoy working with children.
• Fee:  $525 -Scholarships available*
